RED CROSS TRAINING CAMP day 1

i'm back!!!! with a super long post. so sit tight. training camp was...err... ...how should i say it...i guess it was just plain tiring but fun. we had a total of about 7 firedrills[quite little compaired to last year. according to the seniors there were 9]
i came home with numb feet, messy hair, a cut on my left arm and two prizes... for best group and bes sec one i/c[the prizes were a packet of milo and a bottle of kaya left over from breakfast.hehe]
on the first day, i woke up at 6am in the morning. arrived in school at 6.30am. i was struggling just to get into school with my bag, sleeping bag, mat and uniform. when i finally got in, i did my button rings and got my bandages from frn. i cut of the hairs on my beret.
we reported early! for the first time! so happy. we had a briefing. in the middle of the briefing i realised i forgot to surrender my handphone. quickly ran back to get it. it was so embarrassing. next we put our stuff in the bunk. next was the changing parade!!!!! i didn't have my boots so i didn't have to change. then they asked us to change back. firedrill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the first firedrill was quite messy. could hardly find any casualties.
the bunk inspection was the worst. bunk i/c made so many mistakes. plus everything had to be standardised. including the position of our bags! we went on to physical training which was ball games again. after the water parade? we had case study!! at first all the sec ones were like: "whats that?" it was like a firedrill. only thing is, we didn't have to find the casualty. next was outdoor cooking. it was really bad. ma'am adelene was so nice to us. she helped us set up our fire. and when it died half-way, she nearly had a heart attack. haha. some people threw up after eating their lunch. poor things. nithiya and wei ting kept giving all the food to me and telling me to eat more.*makes a face* we were the only group on the first day without a sec 3. we only had one sec 2 and two sec 1s. poor wei ting...had to put up with two sotongs...hehe. after lunch we had lessons. during evac. we had a test. everyone failed. haha. i think ma'am clara must be very upset...i only got 15/36...that was the highest. me and frn both got the same mark. so coincidental! luckily the ma'ams didn't accuse us of cheating. then we had footdrill. they taught us the marching drill. i was like so slow. i forgot how to count to 7 in malay. i was like taking my time to think. thats why i ended up doing wrongly. 'cause everyone was confused and did the wrong thing. suddenly, there was a hornet drill. i was again blur and took so long to realise it. then we went back to footdrill.
bath time was probably the worst. the sacrificing sec 3s let us bathe first. they almost had no time to bath. i feel so bad. the ma'ams gave us about half and hour and we could only use 3 cubicles. finally finished. we had dinner which was cooked by ma'am adelene's mom. it was very nice. they gave me a lot as usual...they all said i'm so skinny[hmp!] the girl guides were having their annual campfire and they invited other schools. they invited other schools and the boys asked if we knew were the boys toilet was!! of course i didn't know 'cos i'm not a boy! but i tried to help them. anyway, i can't remember what happened next...i'm so long-winded but if managed to read to here then you really are pro.
we had a bonding session in the AVA room. quite funny because ma'am xiao xiang and the sec 2s were talking about some sir in SYF. haha. then we had something like night trail. one member from each group was "taken away" and they hid us. the rest of the group was supposed to find us. my heartless group didn't come find me. hmp! haha. but anyway, when we went to sleep[in the AVA room] in the middle of the night wei ting's foot hit me. in the morning i woke up early 'cause when the ma'ams were waking up one of them yelled real loud :"xiao xiang!" grrrr. anyway in the morning i found nithiya moved to her right, hit wei ting so wei ting also moved to the right and hit me...
haha. thats the first day only. :Dhehe. i purposely write sooooo long... i'm so bored...got to do hw now...*sigh*
can i just skip the rest of day 2 and tell you about the campfire?? *waits* i guess so...hehe
we had to teach mushuang the dance steps asap. so many firedrills that day. but it wasn't as bad as the day before. for dinner we had a lot of food. and music! ma'am xiao xiang gave me so much *sulks* but campfire was fun. i had to act a scene with wei ting and after that ma'am xiao xiang said it was cute. [hai wo mei you mian zi] nithiya kept saying i was very pretty...i think she's gone nuts. anyway, in the middle of our dance we forgot the steps. [so pai say(don't know how to spell)] we had singing and it was so fun. we were doing the "as we walk to the laft as we walk to the right" song then it changed to bangla tai chi and lanka(FD command) so funny. i think we were all a bit "high". then the ex ma'ams left. the next day was cleaning up and prize giving ceremony and of course promotion ceremony. only the ma'ams and two sec 2s[wei ting and teresa] got promoted. at the end i was so tired i just wanted go home in m full uniform[i got my boots] but of course i didn't
oof. went home and bathed, ate ad slept from 3pm to 8 pm. haha. 5 hrs!!!
camp wasn't SO bad. hehe.
